Victor Hambardzumyan

They are our memory, he was our collective memory.
That's right. One Hovhannes Tumanyan comes, and the nation knows its Narekatsi from time immemorial. A Martiros Saryan comes, and the nation remembers Rosli and painting. A Victor Hambardzumyan comes and our eyes turn to the sky and in our poor mortal hut that is our mind and body, we open times and spaces.
Our lives are built by them, those adults. They are the ones who give us homelands, those rightful elders. We are the inhabitants of their world. In the homelands opened by them, we live with our high and upright characters given to us by them.
Victor Hambardzumyan made science Armenian and imposed that image of us on the world, the image of an Armenian man full of creativity and courage.
He brought us into contact with the twentieth century, and our hope for the twenty-first century today is fueled again by the presence of his yesterday alive as a world science.
Without elders it is difficult, without hope it is impossible. And let's hope that we will be able to pave the way for the great star Victor Hambardzumyan's grand opening.
With their high presence, the ceilings of the homelands are the heavens, with their great absence, the heavens should not fall - it is our direct responsibility as the inhabitants of their world.
