A large, bright and joyful family of fifty set out for Hrant Matevossian’s small homeland—his village, his school and his family home.
The pupils and teachers of Zorak Secondary School, proudly bearing the name of Monte Melkonyan, arrived on 27 September, a radiant day of remembrance, to bring their words, songs and dances to the writer’s homeland.
At the family home they listened with reverence to stories about the great writer. They then made paper boats of peace and released them onto the Ahnidzor River, carrying small messages to the blue sky.
Welcome, dear friends. May your path always be bright, and may every step become a blessing. Photographs kindly provided by Nane Karyan.
