In Sanahin, we documented this late nineteenth-century house and prepared a plan for its protected zone. Hrant Matevossian lived and worked here. Its owner, Ishkhan Evoyan (Devoyan), inspired a central character in several of the writer’s works, including “Princess Nana’s Bridge”, “Autumn Sun”, “The Trees” and “Memorial Light”. Much of Matevossian’s library was preserved here. The house has the potential to become a museum.
